We have a diverse range of big tables available from 1.9 meters unto 4 meters, all made from one piece of wood with no joins, the available thickness available varies we have from 5cm thickness for some of out small tables of 2 meters with upto to 12cm in thickness for some of our bigger tables..

These tables are made from a type of wood from Indonesia called suar wood the
Suar wood tree (latin name: Albizia Saman), also known as Rain Tree or Monkeypod, is a large tropical rain tree that can grow up to heights of 25m. Characterized by its umbrella canopy, the tree naturally creates an insulated, cool climate underneath its thick, leafy branches. Due to its crisscrossed interlocking grains, Suar wood is resistant to cracking from wood movement and is highly sought-after for its robustness. Moderately heavy but extremely strong, Suar wood is highly resistant to decay and dry-wood termites. These characteristics make Suar wood highly favourable in fine furniture making compared to other woods.

When considering its hardiness and striking wood grains, Suar wood makes a fitting choice for sizeable table tops like conference tables and dining tables. However, it is not limited to colossal table tops as its beautiful wood figure makes it befitting as an exquisite centre piece in any working or living space.
The suar wood is well know for its various color shades in the wood from dark to blond.

The shapes of our tables here at White Cactus vary some with straight edge but more popular are the natural curve tables which gives a super unique pieces of furniture.

The tables are not so good for total outdoor use, as all day rain and sun can damage them, But for an outside covered terrace or an area with sun screen toldos they can work, and of course for inside also,
All out tables at White Cactus have been finished to a high standard with a special transparent clear resin for to protect the tables , they also have been waxed and we recommend a regular wax also every month if possible to keep the tables in perfect state.
